Champion & Commuter Badges

Incentivization and gamification work for getting people on bikes. The idea behind this branding is to help identify people in the cycling community. It serves as a guide for people starting out as well as those already making change. There are all kinds of people who deserve small tokens of gratitude to remind them about what gets them on the bike. The brand identity incorporates the chain link in three distinct patterns. As an individual participates more and more, they work their way through each cyclist level.
The title of Cyclist is obtained by participating in a class such as Learn To Ride. This person is usually a novice when it comes to riding and all things bikes.
Commuter of the Month is awarded to a person who is a source of inspiration to others through their activity in cycling and their drive to ride.
Bicycle Champion is the highest ranking status for which a person can be recognized. You don’t have to win races in order to be a champion. The title is obtained after the person has had active participation in classes/events, demonstrated leadership roles by taking part in rides, and been a ride leader. They are an active participant in their local cycling community. They aid in getting more people on bikes to better the planet.
